And for 2 or 3 minutes the room is spellbound… And then the laserman (Tim Bennett) comes on stage in a breathtaking introduction with the audience all fired up and ready to go!

My love affair started in 1998…

 

I walked in to ‘Fazers’ with my business partner and it was a day that would completely change my life…

 

Fazers, was a club that he and I bought and as naive as I was in those days, it was the start of a love affair.

 

My DJ told me that there was a laser in the bar and that if I fixed it, it would bring in more business…

So 6 weeks later, the laser was fixed, the key was turned and for the 1st time in my life, I saw a laser!

 

My mouth fell open, my heart began racing and I knew I was seeing something that would forever change my life…

 

I was in love…

 

In fact the picture above, is a photo of my very 1st ever laser!

About us – My love took me to Spain…

 

In September 1991, I went to a meeting with a London based laser company, that would take me to Sevilla, Spain for the Expo 92…

 

At the time, this was probably one of the biggest shows in the world and I was working on it.

 

The ‘espectaculo del lago’ ran every night for 9 months and was an incredible project. This was truly a ‘baptism into fire’ and by the time I got back to London almost a year later, I knew 2 things:

 

1) I loved lasers, show production and making people happy through entertainment;

2) I didn’t want to live in England anymore!

The video to the right is part of the most amazing projects I ever worked on!
